Reminder: Tomorrow is field day and we have some water activities planned. Please send an extra set of dry clothes to school for students to change if needed. 😎

Congratulations to our students who received Kid of Character certificates today at lunch and got to make someone’s day with a free ice cream cone! 🍦

Franklin Families:
Please see below for information about our upcoming field day. Please note that families are asked not to attend field day this year due to continued concerns with large gatherings and all mitigating measures still being in place, other than masks. We understand this is disappointing and a change from past years but ask our families to please respect this decision. We're hoping next year will be back to normal!
Field day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 25. Our plan (weather permitting) is to do some water activities. Students will need to bring a change of clothes with them so they have dry clothes when field day is over. If the weather on May 25 is really bad, our makeup date will be May 27. We’ll communicate with families if there’s a need to change the date due to weather. Unfortunately, parents and other visitors will not be invited to field day this year due to continued concerns with large gatherings at this time. We understand this is different from past years but ask families to support us in this decision. We’ll do our best to post lots of pictures and videos on social media so families can see all of the fun our students are having. Please remember to send an extra set of clothes on Tuesday!

In accordance with the passing of Bill HF 847 late last night in the Iowa House and Senate and the Governor's office regarding mask mandates, staff and students are not required to wear masks for the remainder of the school year effective today. Staff and students may still choose to wear a mask if they prefer, however, it is no longer a requirement. Thank you for your continued support.

Reminder:
