In November, we pay tribute to Native American Heritage Month. The enduring legacy of indigenous peoples, reflected in their vibrant cultures and historic achievements, reminds us that they have played a valuable part in shaping our nation.
Thank you for helping us recognize this important month.

Families, we’re asking all of us to pay close attention to the time students are absent this school year. Even missing just a couple days per month can add up to 10% of the entire year. That’s a lot of time missing out on key learning opportunities.
Let’s combat chronic absenteeism together. If you need assistance, contact your child’s school office at any time. #AttendanceMatters

On October 27, 1787, the Federalist Papers were first published, laying the foundation for the U.S. Constitution. 🇺🇸📜
National Civics Day was founded to honor this pivotal milestone, as well as highlight the importance of civic education in our schools.
Boone CSD recognizes National Civics Day every day by offering courses that teach students about the history of our nation and how they can grow up to become productive citizens.

On this National Day of the Deployed, Boone CSD salutes the brave troops who serve far from home, defending our freedoms and protecting our nation. Their sacrifice and strength inspire us all. 🇺🇸

We're thrilled to announce that two of Boone’s young musicians have earned coveted spots in the prestigious South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association (SCIBA) 8th Grade Honor Band’s top tier: Caiden Hurley, trombone, and Lynneah Pickering, flute! 🎶
Lynneah Pickering represents Sacred Heart School in Boone, while Caiden Hurley is a student at Boone Middle School. Both students study under the guidance of Rose Kundel, Boone Middle School Band Director.
Chosen from a pool of exceptional musicians across Central Iowa, these talented students will represent Boone at the SCIBA Honor Band Festival on November 7 at Ankeny Centennial HS. The day will include rehearsals and culminate in an evening concert showcasing the remarkable talents of selected musicians. 👏
Please join us in congratulating Caiden and Lynneah! 🎉

Every day of school counts. Missing just two days a month adds up to 10% of the entire school year!
We all play a part in ensuring our students are in school each day. Parents and caregivers, please make sure that if your student is healthy, they’re in school—on time and ready to learn.
A little encouragement goes a long way! 🚌🎒
