Boone CSD Food Service Department menus follow the USDA National School Lunch and Breakfast Program Meal Patterns to ensure students are provided with a well balance nutrtious meal.

Free and Reduced Priced Meal Applications

The Boone Community School District Food Services participate in the federally subsidized National School Lunch Program. This program allows children from families meeting certain income guidelines to receive free or reduced-price meals. Application forms must be submitted annually for each school year! To be considered for eligibility for meal benefits, this form must be completed and submitted to Shealyn Brekke, Food Service Secretary at Central Office.

 

Two Ways to Apply:

Online:

Parents can now apply online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal from a computer or smart phone! Online applications make applying fast and is our prefered method for applications.

Paper:

Please return completed paper applications and waiver statements by mail to 500 7th St, Boone, IA 50036 or by email to sbrekke@boone.k12.ia.us

Food Service Fees

Add funds to your student's lunch account through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Login. Once you login you will need to select Food Service under Message Center on the left side of the page.   • The Boone Community School District Food Service Program is a self-sufficient, non-profit program that relies on timely payment of account balances to remain fiscally solvent. The district has made a process for responding to delinquent account balances.

  • The Boone Community School District Food Services program is guided by government regulations to provide well-balanced meals to students. The program provides breakfast and lunch menus that include a variety of foods. The program supports itself through student and adult meal sales and federal and state reimbursement for student meals.

  • This tool is to document progress in meeting the goals written in the district's wellness policy at each school building.
