No 7th Grade Football Practice The 7th grade football team hosted Gilbert last night and were ready for the challenge! The 'A' team put on an offensive display both on the ground and through the air by scoring 38 points. The 'A' team defense delivered a shutout by completely stuffing the Gilbert offense with a number of quarterback sacks and tackles for loss. The result was a 38-0 victory! The 'B' team closed out the evening with a 16-0 shutout of their own! In the end, both teams really took it to the Tigers by outscoring them 54-0 for both games! Way to go boys!! Boone 8th grade football A-Team lost 0 to 14, B Team won 14 to 0. "roll dors!" Last home football game is next Tuesday against Ballard. The cross country teams competed in the RRC meet at Winterset yesterday. The girls team WON the 2024 RRC team championship, defending their title from 2023. In the girls race: Whitney Chesnut won the RRC girls race. Whitney Chesnut placed 2nd Reagan Morgan was 6th Briella Johnson was 7th Finley Houser was 11th Makenzie Klatt was 15th The boys team was led by Caleb Bartlett and Dalton Darby. 7th Volleyball ended their season with ALL WINS last night. Here are the team records for the year, A team 9-0, B team 5-4, C team 6-3, and D team 4-4. 8th Grade Volleyball will have practice and uniform turn in here in the Gym after school today. In 8th grade volleyball last night, the Toreadors faced the Perry Bluejays. The C and D teams fought hard in winning one set and were competitive in the others, but were unable to get another win. In 'A' and 'B' action, the A team won 3-0 and controlled all 3 sets well! The B team also got the W last night in dramatic fashion! After losing the first set, they came back strong to win the second, and needed a big comeback to win the 3rd set! After getting down 13-4 in the 3rd, the B team used pinpoint serving and excellent team work in earning the 18-16 win! Nice job girls!
